      <image:title>Home - Over 100 Years of Hospitality</image:title>
<image:caption>Mary Johnston built Three Hills in 1913. She operated an inn on the property until her death in 1936. Johnston was the one of America’s bestselling novelists of the 20th century, and an active member of the Equal Suffrage League of Virginia. Richmond architects Carneal and Johnston designed the Italian Renaissance style home with a Colonial Revival interior. Today, Three Hills retains much of its character-defining features and architectural integrity, as well as influence from Mary Johnston herself.</image:caption>
